We want to let all of our family and friends know how much we love them and appreciate everything that you do for us! All the moms, grandmas, aunts, sisters, cousins and friends, we couldn't do what we do without your love and support. (As well as all the dads, grandpas, uncles--we can't forget you guys. Without you we wouldn't be moms!)

Free Comic Book Day 2009
Well, it's that time of year again, where our girls dress up, get free stuff, and get their picture taken a lot.
Yes, this weekend was Free Comic Book day, and once again the fine folks at 4 Color Fantasies in Rancho Cucamonga showed us a good time. Not only was Wolverine there with a giant sentinel to take pictures, but tons of other superheroes and Star Wars characters were on hand.
This year, the girls met a few creators as well, including Amy Wolfram, who writes some of their favorite cartoons and who wrote the new Barbie movie, Barbie and the Three Musketeers, and the very talented Todd Nauck who draws, among other things, the very characters the girls were dressed as.
Of course, no Free Comic Book Day would be complete without a visit with Kirk Kushin, who saved Emma from the collapsing bounce house two years ago--he's a genuinely nice guy, and this year he gave Emma a signed copy of his new graphic novel, Super Teen*Topia. Emma couldn't have been more excited, and won't let anybody else read it until she finishes it.
Afterwards, we went down and met Andy and Nikki at Hogi Yogi and spent the rest of the day with them. It couldn't have been more fun.
But hey, all this reading probably feels like homework. Here's the video and the pics.

Quick Little Video
Thought I'd post this, since I made it. Just re-familiarizing myself with my video editing software for a project I'm working on.

Our Weekend in LA!
Here we go!
We've promised this video for a while and I finally got around to editing it together.
When Marci's brother Isaac came out for a visit, this is how we spent his last Saturday here.
(Congrats to Isaac, by the by, on getting his mission call to the Mississipi Jackson Mission.)

McDonalds Museum in San Bernardino
Okay, so you've all seen it when you were driving down E Street, but you've never stopped there.
Well, as of today, we have.
As I expected, the museum at the location of the first ever McDonalds is pretty much a Happy Meal toy museum. Check out this video, and I'll bet you'll see at least one toy that you had as a kid.
Plus, they had some of the old playplace equipment--the Mayor McCheese you could climb in, the Fry Guy rocking horses, and of course, the plug-in carousel.

Free Comic Book Day 2008
This was us at Four Color Fantasies in Rancho Cucamunga, CA, checking out the action for Free Comic Book Day. These boys go all out.
The last time my phone rang with work calling me, the girls asked, "Can't you just tell them you need the day off to celebrate comic books?"

Get to Know The Girls
Thought I'd post this little video I did of the girls earlier this year. Thanks to Andy for letting me borrow his camera, which includes SOUND, something these little videos have never included before. I thought I'd use the occasion to document where the girls were at, interest-wise, and maybe do the same thing every January.
Plus, I thought I'd see how the video widget on Blogger works. I actually haven't seen the results of this experiment yet as I type this, so if this ends up coming out looking as pixelated as an Atari 2600 game, know that I tried.
